In 1907, Michaël Windburn, American man of business who suffers from a firm eczema buys from a Parisian pharmacist, Louis Nathan, a cream on base of oil of cade extracts from a juniper. Of this cure is going to be born a fruitful collaboration. Both men will abandon the cream of cade to throw a product more adapted to the needs of period: a bar of soap in the sweet almond oil under the cadum name. At the beginning of the 20th century, the bar of soap is seen as a luxury item. Cadum is then going to attempt to democratize the hygiene by proposing soaps with most large number. Windburn, precursor of the methods of modern marketing, covers the facades of France with gigantic frescoes painted just like the cadum baby, which the features will never change. It is the beginning of a long legend of advertising campaigns baby Cadum. Baby Cadum is one of the rare products in France used by five in six generations. It even became an expression popular, entered Robert, to describe a pink and round child.
