The Little Prince is a work of French language, the most known for Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Published in 1943 in New York, it is a poetic and philosophic tale under the appearance of a tale for children. It is the narrative which has no label in the literary story.
Every chapter tells a meeting of the small prince who leaves this one perplexed as for the absurd behavior of the ''grown-ups''. Each of these meetings can be read as an allegory.
The language, simple and bare, because it is intended to be understood by children, is really for the narrator the privileged vehicle of a symbolic conception of the life.
